The difference is just the concentration or amount of oils in the fragrance. The concentration of eau de toilet is lower than eau de parfum, while eau the parfum has a higher concentration thus making it a stronger fragrance. There is also eau de cologne, which has the lowest amount of oils, and extrait de perfume, which has the highest concentration.
The fragrance is almost identical. The difference is only the method of application. Take note, that a bottle with spray having a permanent seal, may have a longer shelf life. However, it is up to the individual to make a decision between a splash or a spray.
Testers are exactly like the original fragrance as they are 100% genuine, fully stocked, and fresh. Sometimes testers do not have a box or they can arrive in a simple white box as they are intended for a department store counter. Sometimes testers do not have a cap at all. If you don’t need beautiful packaging then testers are even more affordable than the ones in ordinary boxes.
Various scents, referred to as “notes”, are used to create fragrances.
The top notes are quite light and disappear in 5-10 minutes. After a short while, in approximately 15 minutes, you can smell the middle notes, which may last an hour or longer. As the heaviest ingredients are found at the bottom notes, the longest duration, (frequently many hours) belongs to it.
It is recommended to keep an opened bottle in its box. More importantly, a dry, cool, and sunlight-free area will prolong the life of the fragrance inside the bottle.
